The Village on Casino Road
A Place to Aspire
The Village is Open!
After 3 years of meetings, scheduling and dedicated work, our new community center, The Village on Casino Road, had opened its doors in 2020 right when the pandemic hit. The hardships of 2020 had made it hard to celebrate this achievement in person. So we ask you to join us here and learn all about what The Village can offer you, your friends and your family.
Our video Welcome to the Village on Casino Road walks you through our facilities, available programs, and all the ins and outs of how this space can support our community and bring people together.

What is The Village?

The Village is a singular place that can be many things to many people. In the most general sense, it is a community center. But it is also:
-
A hub for empowerment (education, training, capacity building, etc.)
-
A social hub (space to hang out, drink coffee with a friend, socialize, etc.)
-
A resource hub (community navigators, computer lab, housing support, etc.)
-
A cultural hub (dance, art, music, cultural celebrations, community building)
By collaborating with the residents of Casino Road, we determined what the community wanted and needed out of the Village; a space to feel welcome and to connect with other members of their community.
What Can You Do at The Village?
The Village is exactly what it sounds like - a collection of neighbors and organizations coming together to serve our community. In collaboration with ChildStrive, Connect Casino Road partners with nearly a dozen community organizations to bring on-site services and resources to the Village. We also offer space for community events, meetings, celebrations, and any other community space need we are able to support. Visit the Village on Casino Road website for detailed information on how to get involved with The Village!
