Family and Community Development Coordinator
One of the teams that makes up Connect Casino Road is our "All Families are Ready" Action Team. This team is the collaborative group that was awarded a 3-year grant from the United Way of Snohomish County to serve families with young children ages 0-8. At the heart of this new model is our Community and Family Development Coordinator, Yelitza. Yelitza joined us in January of 2019, but has been working with this community for years through her position as a Family Support Specialist with ECEAP and a Case Manager with South Everett Goodwill. She is a shared employee among the 8 formal partners that make up the Action Team and act as a central point of contact for the families being served by the team and the partners serving them. Yelitza is bilingual and bicultural, with both a Bachelors and Masters in Education. Yelitza brings over a decade of community and education-based work to Connect Casino Road.
Village on Casino Road Coordinator
Jessica started working with Connect Casino Road in December of 2019 as the Coordinator for the Village community center. Jessica has lived most of her life in Western Washington, and has been a resident of Snohomish County for the last 4 years. She has years of experience working in community and social services settings, and has long-standing relationships with many of our partner organizations. One of the things that drew Jessica to the Casino Road community is her own lived experience of an immigrant that arrived in the USA as a young child. With many family and friends that called Casino Road home, Jessica knew this was a place where she could draw on her experiences, bilingualism, and connections to help positively impact the people and families that call Casino Road home.
